The Challenge
Good Product. No Authority.
The wellness and home sauna market is dominated by brands with years of established online presence, thousands of reviews, and significant domain authority built over time. When Aqualine Saunas entered the market, they had a genuinely quality product lineup, but in Google’s eyes, they were invisible.
In eCommerce, Domain Authority isn’t vanity. It is the fundamental determinant of whether your product pages appear on page one or page ten. A new eCommerce brand with a DA of under 20 is structurally unable to outrank established competitors, regardless of how good the product or how well-optimised the on-page SEO is. Authority has to be built, and it can’t be faked.
The brief was clear: build enough external authority to make Aqualine Saunas a legitimate contender in organic search fast enough to matter commercially, strategically enough to last permanently.

Competitor Gap Analysis
We reverse-engineered every competitor’s backlink profile identifying the specific publications, directories, and editorial properties that were sending authority signals to them. For each high-value source we couldn’t immediately acquire, we created content specifically designed to compete for that same link. This systematic approach meant we weren’t just building links, we were neutralising specific competitor authority advantages.
